Self-esteem, self-confidence: every part of our life

Mentors at work: (left pic) checking for correctness, (right pic) delivering a mini-lesson on Vanda Miss Joaquim

With teacher Phyllis, she thinks there is nothing we cannot do! Like it or not, we have the freedom to lead and teach or learn with the team she assigned whenever there is a field trip.
It is truth, with all these experiences, we're most happy to see her pleasantly surprised by the many things that weren't taught by her nor in our primary school text books.
The feeling is good because teacher Phyllis always tells us that she must study more and work harder so that she can be smarter than us.
We simply like field trips with her alone and with the preschool children!

Recipe to our achievements

It's all about the environment namely the people, activities, nature and positive energy when we learn and play.
An extract of a casual conversation between Phyllis and the students on what they think of coming for student-care(summarized):
"I like to come here because I can score high marks for my exam, I didn't even have other tuition! When I score high marks, I get to go for a tour with my parents."
"I like the toast and sandwich that you prepared whenever we are hungry after lunch."
"I wish I can play badminton, table tennis, scissors-paper-stone with you everyday."
"You give us fun projects to do. I like art and science projects the most. I do many fun things here that my primary school don't do."
This school is like our home, we come back here right after our school to continue our day with our 'old' friends. We are free to play what we wanted only after doing what needed to. If we don't, of course we get nagged at and priviledge wihdrawn. Isn't all those the same at home!!

In Phyllis' Riccia student care program, the Principal selects the students based on parents' attitude. The Principal strongly believes that when parents' philosophy resonant with that of the school's, the students shine and excel in all aspects of their development.
To fulfill the objectives of the program, she further ensure that:
1. the teacher who takes the students must be sound in her academic qualifications not just in one subject but all subjects
2. the teacher must give the students time to play(40%), time to engage in discussion(20%), time to plan, explore, reflect and relax(20%), time for academic work(20%)
3. the environment, herein refers to the cohort, must all have the right attitude towards learning and positive character development
